Siena Tour: A Journey into the

Our tour begins in the magnificent Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, famous for its shell shape and for being the heart of the city. This is where the famous Palio di Siena takes place, a thrilling horse race that involves the city’s contrade (districts) in a competition full of history and tradition.

Overlooking Piazza del Campo, the Palazzo Pubblico is a stunning Gothic masterpiece that houses the Museo Civico, featuring important frescoes, including the renowned "Allegory of Good and Bad Government" by Ambrogio Lorenzetti. Next to it, the Torre del Mangia, one of the tallest medieval towers in Italy, offers breathtaking panoramic views of Siena and the surrounding countryside.

A short walk leads us to the magnificent Siena Cathedral, a masterpiece of Italian Gothic architecture. Its stunning façade, intricate marble decorations, and impressive interior—including works by Michelangelo, Donatello, and Bernini—make it an absolute must-see. Inside, you’ll also admire the Piccolomini Library, decorated with vibrant frescoes by Pinturicchio.

Beneath the cathedral lies the Baptistery of San Giovanni, featuring an extraordinary baptismal font created by some of the greatest Renaissance sculptors, including Jacopo della Quercia, Donatello, and Lorenzo Ghiberti. The recently uncovered Crypt reveals incredible medieval frescoes that remained hidden for centuries.

Walking through the charming Via di Città, we’ll explore Siena’s historic districts, each representing a Contrada with its own colors, symbols, and traditions. Along the way, we’ll admire elegant palaces, artisan shops, and picturesque alleyways that reveal the city’s authentic character.
